Pros and cons of Texas Pick'Em Pro app for iPhone and iPad

Texas Pick'Em Pro app good for

I LOVE the High-Score Board and Thanks for making the flow so much more smoother. I love this game because I Love Texas Holdem. I have actually played Texas Holdem for over 20 hours straight in Atlantic City and I am pleased that this game it is challenging, and I find myself wanting to play Game after Game after.....
It is awesome to see other players scores. Even daily or hourly. It is really cool.
Interesting twist on the (by now) famous Texas Pick Em game. Instead of being one of the players, you get to just decide who is going to win and who to bet on. So you get to see all of the cards and pick the best hand based on the two cards exposed. Each round you get to do this, until you win the pot (or lose). This, each time you get to switch your opinion of who you think will win. The game then tells you what the odds are on each hand (in terms of % - 0% being impossible to win and 100% being a guaranteed win). If you chose not-the-best hand, you immediately get a strike (3 strikes and youre out). If you chose the best hand, you get to move on until the round is completed. Sometimes, even though you picked the best hand, you can still lose in the end. No guarantees in poker (well, unless the hand is 100% guaranteed). In that case its called a "bad break". Its cool when that happens too (even though you dont win any money then). The game keeps track of your bad break stats and I sort of like it when that number increases as a stat. Great take on Texas Hold Em and very fun. My intuition about poker in general (and Texas Hold Em in particular) has drastically improved. I used to be a poker retard -- and now I think Im getting better just because I get instant feedback on my guesses. As compared to the Lite version, this version seems to have updated graphics, smoother feel to it, and a high score list. Also no ads. Overall a great game. My one small criticism is that while the graphics are great, they could be a little sharper. Its as if the artist used a lossy compressor for the images in the game. Otherwise its a great game and I give it 5 stars!
It is fun, addictive and educational! Someone please beat my(SugarShane) record so I can come back and beat you!
Ive been hooked on the free version of this game since it came out. As I mentioned in my review of that game, this is not your typical single-hand-played poker game, so reviewing it on that basis would be inappropriate. Instead, in this game you see all 10 hands around the table and have to choose the best in a short period of time. So youre effectively playing all 10 hands at once, and the learning density is that much higher. As poker players [and Kenny Rogers fans] know, the key is knowing when to hold and when to fold. I can feel myself getting better at that in the course of playing this game. This version differs from the free version in that there are no ads, of course. But the interface is a little different now too. The hand you choose is immediately selected to bet, which mirrors real poker playing (where you dont get a second chance) more accurately. And it makes for even faster game play. Finally, the killer feature is the global high score board so you can compete with players around the world. Ive been waiting for this!
